Get Hooked on Crochet!


Learn to crochet a simple project suitable for gift or personal use.

Participants should come supplied with a crochet hook, preferable a size G or H. A few yards of yarn will be provided for the workshop, and participants are also welcome to bring their own yarn. Advanced crocheters who want to share ideas and techniques are also welcome.

Kid's Reading and Dining

The "Food For Thought" Reading Program sponsored by IN-n-Out Burger begins this Saturday, March 4 through April 15. Children ages 4-12 are invited to sign-up at the Youth Reference Desk at the Mission Viejo Library and receive a free hamburger coupon from In-N-Out for reading 5 books throughout the duration of this program. Readers can receive up to three hamburger coupons for reading a total of 15 books!!

“Writers Present” series begins with Quang X. Pham


Quang X. Pham, a 10-year resident of Mission Viejo, will be speaking about his memoir, A Sense of Duty: My Father, My American Journey, on Tuesday, March 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room.

Pham was a finalist for the Southern California Booksellers Association Nonfiction Book Award in 2005. To learn more about the book visit Pham's website.
